POBNEWS24,Dhaka Jan 4, 2022: Three people have been burnt to death in a house fire in Chandalbhog area of Turag police station in the capital. Their bodies were recovered around 4.30 am on Tuesday.
Those whose bodies have been recovered, they said. Jahangir (19), Ruma Akhter (18) and Afrin (14).
According to fire service sources, the fire broke out at Suruj Mia’s house on government khas land in Manik slum Khalpara of Uttara. A two-room tinshed house caught fire.
Three units of Uttara Fire Station are working to control the fire.
Officer-in-charge of Turag Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Sajal Kumar Roy told Prothom Alo that it was initially thought that the fire started from an electrical short circuit and from there three people died in the blaze. The body has been handed over to the police.
Preparations were underway to send the body to the morgue of Suhrawardy Medical College for autopsy till the last news was received
