POBNEWS24, Dhaka Jul 3, 2021 : Four people were killed and six others injured in a head-on collision between an ambulance and a pick-up van in Tangail on Saturday Morning.
The incident took place Dhaka-Tangail highway near Bangabandhu bridge area in Kalihati upazila of the district around 7:30am.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
According to police and local people, a North Bengal-bound ambulance collided with a fish-laden truck in the area, leaving three people dead on the spot and seven others injured. The injured people were sent to Tangail General Hospital where one of them died.
Shahidul Islam, Inspector (investigation) of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station, said, the bodies were recovered and sent to the hospital.
