An army team has rescued 21 students of Dhaka University (DU) and others trapped in the devastating floods in Sunamganj. After the rescue, they are being brought to Sylhet from Chhatak of Sunamganj.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a text message on Sunday (June 19th) morning.
The next day (June 15) they were stranded as the roads were submerged in light rain. Later, when they reached Sunamganj town by trawler, the flood situation deteriorated. As a result, the students were trapped there.
Later they took position at Pansi restaurant in Sunamganj city. However, there is a shortage of food and clean water.
