POBNEWS24, Desk report Jan 20, 2024 : Bangladesh Foreign Minister, Dr. Hasan Mahmud, MP has had a bilateral meetings with Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India, on the sidelines of the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement currently being held in Kampala, Uganda. According to MoFa statement issued here today (Saturday).
While Dr. Jaishankar congratulated Dr. Hasan Mahmud in his new role as Foreign Minister, both the leaders discussed various issues of mutual interests and ways to carry forward the existing excellent bilateral relations between the two countries. They also discussed about the upcoming visit of Bangladesh Foreign Minister to New Delhi.
Dr. Hasan Mahmud is leading the Bangladesh delegation to the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) scheduled on 19-20 January and the Third South Summit of the G77 and China scheduled on 21-22 January. Foreign Secretary (Senior Secretary) Masud Bin Momen, Bangladesh Permanent Representative to the UN Muhammad A Muhith and Bangladesh High Commissioner to Kenya and Uganda among an others are accompanying the Foreign Minister.
