POBNEWS24, Desk report Dhaka Aug 27, 2024 : It is said that the appointment of 25 vacant posts of Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Field Administration may be made on Tuesday. A notification in this regard may be issued by the Ministry of Public Administration in the afternoon.
After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government on August 5, when the interim government was formed, the officers who were appointed during the previous Awami League government began to withdraw. On August 20, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a separate notification and withdrew 25 DCs.
In an order on that day, the DCs of Dhaka, Sylhet, Habiganj, Mymensingh, Magura, Rangpur, Gaibandha, Naogaon, Natore, Cox’s Bazar, Chittagong, Noakhali, Gazipur, Comilla, Moulvibazar, Khulna, Gopalganj districts have been withdrawn. In a separate order, the DCs of Faridpur, Sherpur, Kushtia, Jhenaidah, Pabna, Bogra, Jaipurhat, Chandpur districts were withdrawn.
According to the Ministry of Public Administration, for the last few days, the oral test was conducted to prepare the fitlist for DC recruitment. 15 new posts in 25 vacant districts and 10 posts in other districts may be transferred.
