POBNEWS24. Dhaka Apr 23, 2021 : The 211th session of executive board of UNESCO concluded virtually at its Paris headquarters on April 21.
Representing Bangladesh at the event, cultural personality poet Tarik Sujat reiterated Bangladesh’s strong position and confidence over the UN and UNESCO’s mission and vision in establishing peace in the world.
Bangladesh expressed its satisfaction over the nomination of Audrey Azoulay as the Director General of UNESCO.
In his address, Tarik Sujat appreciated the steps taken up by Bangladesh Prime Sheikh Hasina for tackling Covid-19 in the country.
In his deliberation, the Bangladesh representative called upon UNESCO to take up effective steps for facing the challenge posed by climate change, and maintaining environmental balance.
UNESCO’s session began on April 13 and concluded on April 21.
