POBNEWS24 Dhaka, May 28, 2021: Army Pharma Limited, an associate institution of Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory (BMTF) Limited, run by Bangladesh Army, formally launched its journey with a view to produce quality medicine.
Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed inaugurated it at Shimultali of Joydevpur in Gazipur district on Thursday.
There will be facilities for production of different types of medicine at the modern technology-dependent institution located on 100 bighas of land near the capital, according to a press release of ISPR.
There will also be scope to produce medical device, added the release.
Addressing on the occasion, the Army Chief called upon Army Pharma for producing medicines so that it can remain under the purchasing capacity of retired army personnel and lower income group of people.
General Aziz hoped that the institution would emerge as one of the top drug manufacturing institutions in the country within the short time.
Later, the Army Chief inspected different sections of BMTF and leather factory.
