Shops, markets and places of interest in some parts of the capital will be closed on Friday (June 25).
Areas closed:
Banglabazar, Patuatuli, Farashganj, Shyambazar, Jurain, Karimullahbagh, Postagola, Shampur, Mirhajirbagh, Dolaipar, Tipu Sultan Road, Dhupkhola, Gandaria, Dayaganj, Swamibagh, Dholair, Ahsan Manzil, Lalbagh, Kotwali Thana, Bangshal, Nawabpur, Sadarghat, Tantibazar, Laxmibazar, Shankhari Bazar, Chankharpul, southern part of Gulistan.
Markets that will be closed:
Azimpur Super Market, Gulistan Hawkers Market, Farashganj Timber Market, Shyambazar Wholesale Store, Samad Super Market, Rahmania Super Market, Idris Super Market, Dayaganj Bazar, Dhupkhola Math Bazar, Chawkbazar, Babubazar, Nayabazar, Kaptanbazar, Rajdhani Market, Dayaganj City Corporation Market, Islampur Clothing Store, Chhota Kantara, Bara Kantara Wholesale Market, Sharif Mansion, Fulbaria Market, Sandra Super Market.
Places that will be closed:
Military Museum: It is located on Vijay Sarani. Open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed weekly on Thursdays and Fridays.
National Museum of Science and Technology, Agargaon: Closed for weekly holidays on Thursdays and Fridays. It is open daily from 9am to 5pm every day from Saturday to Wednesday. Entrance fee is 5 rupees per person. Apart from this, you can observe the sky through a telescope on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 pm to 10 pm for a ticket.
Children’s Academy Museum: Weekend off Friday and Saturday. Open Sunday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
