POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Jun 29, 2021 : Rapid Action Battalion RAB Director General (DG) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun has said that militants active in Bangladesh are not capable of carrying out any major offensive like Holy Artisan.
He was responding to a question at a recent press conference on the law and order situation in the country at noon on Tuesday (June 29).
Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun said, “The way we are working against militancy, there will be no place for militancy in Bangladesh.” We are one step ahead of them. At the moment, our intelligence shows that the militants are not capable of being aggressive. ‘
He mentioned, ‘Two and a half thousand militants have been arrested since the establishment of RAB and one and a half thousand since the Holy Artisan attack alone. He said the RAB’s anti-militant operations were ongoing and would continue in the future. He said the militants will not be able to increase in Bangladesh in the future.
