POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Jul 15, 2021 : Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen and Indian Foreign Minister S. Jayashankar met on the sidelines of the connective conference in Tashkend, the capital of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was described by Jayashankar as a unique opportunity to review the progress of bilateral relations between Dhaka and New Delhi.
The Indian foreign minister made the remarks in a tweet after a meeting with Foreign Minister Momen in Tashkend on Thursday (July 15).
Jayashankar wrote in a tweet, Bangladesh Foreign Minister in the gap of the Tashkent Connectivity Conference. Glad to meet AK Abdul Momen. This is a unique opportunity to review the progress of bilateral relations, including the various aspects of our connection.
Dr. Momen left for the country on Wednesday (July 14) morning to attend a two-day international conference in Tashkent.
During the visit, he will attend the conference as a representative of Bangladesh and will have a meeting with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Momen will also hold sideline meetings with Chinese and Russian Foreign Ministers Wang Yi and Sergei Lavrov.
