This information was given by the public relations department of the ACC on Sunday (August 22).
According to the ACC, former public works minister and BNP leader Mirza Abbas has been accused of abusing his power by illegally occupying 0.3125 acres of railway land in Khilgaon mouza and buying another 150 kathas of land in various dag khatians in the same mouza.
Besides, there are allegations of embezzling 50 to 60 kathas of land in Gulshan Banani including embezzling government property worth Tk 200 crore by making plots in the park area of Khilgaon rehabilitation area under one’s own name and anonymously.
In the light of these allegations, the ACC has decided to investigate against Mirza Abbas
Earlier, in January 2019, the ACC filed a case against Mirza Abbas and his wife Afroza Abbas for allegedly acquiring illegal assets worth Tk 20.7 crore.
The director of the company. Saladin filed the case with Shahjahanpur police station.
