POBNEWS24, Dhaka Nov 5, 2021 :With the war looming, India is also changing and rapidly becoming self-sufficient in defense, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The world is changing,” he said as he spent Diwali with the army in the Naushera sector of Jammu’s Rajouri district on Thursday. The methods and tactics of war are also changing rapidly. India’s defense readiness is changing with him. India is gradually becoming self-reliant.
Citing examples of how the country is changing, the Prime Minister said the border infrastructure is improving rapidly. Roads have been built along the border and coast from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh, from Jaisalmer to Andaman and Nicobar. Optical fiber sits. He said that at one time India had to depend on other countries for arms. Not now. Most weapons are now being made in the country.
Eighty-five percent of the defense budget is now being spent on home-made weapons. This self-reliance will one day establish India as an arms exporter.
