POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Nov 8, 2021 :The Pentagon has claimed that China has settled in the disputed area adjacent to India’s Arunachal Pradesh. However, an Indian official said that no civilians were staying in the settlements built on the Indo-China border. He asserted that his confession had been obtained through torture and that his confession had been obtained through torture.
According to the Times of India, the state government last year appointed DJ Borah as an additional deputy commissioner in the Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. At the end of one of the observations, he said, they did not think there were civilians in the disputed area.
The official said, ‘We saw multiple large installations in the disputed area. They seemed to be built for military use. I was told that when the Chinese troops occupied the area in 1962, they had only a few outposts.
According to the Times of India, where the Chinese army built the facility, there used to be an Indian outpost. However, it was removed after the Sino-Indian war in 1962. At that time the outpost was called ‘Maza Camp’. After the area was declared disputed, the camp was relocated within four to five kilometers of Indian territory.
The disputed areas, which are now occupied by the Chinese military, were largely owned by the Tagin community, according to the Times of India. Until 2016, the community had exclusive ownership of the entire land in the region.
