POBNEWS24, Dhaka Nov 27, 2021 : Friday evening air is a little cold. There was also light fog. A large number of listeners are immersed in the field of Shilpakala Academy with heart touching songs like ‘Bhramar Koiyo Giya’, ‘Ke Tore Shikhail Radhar’, ‘Kare Dekhab Moner Dukh Go’, ‘Pran Bande Amar Pran Yaay’. The three-day Radharman Music Festival has started here. From this afternoon till night, thousands of listeners gathered at the academy ground to sing songs of the artists of Bhati region.
Folk artists from different parts of the country have come to the capital with the festival organized under the slogan ‘Communal power must be stopped’ at the initiative of Radharman Cultural Center. The artists captivated the audience by singing the songs of Radharman Dutt, a Vaishnava devotee and one of the foremost mystic poets of folk music.

Lalon lyricist Farida Parveen inaugurated the festival. The chief guest was Planning Minister MA Mannan. Special guests were educationist Professor Syed Manjurul Islam and BTRC Chairman Shyamsunder Sikder. Biswajit Roy, General Secretary of Radharman Cultural Center gave a welcome address at the inaugural session presided over by Abul Khair, Vice President of the Center.
The inaugural episode begins with a group performance. Artists sang Radharman’s famous songs ‘Amar Mon Kare Akul’ and ‘Surdhvanir Kinaray’. After that, Spondon artists danced to Radharman’s song ‘Jaler Ghate Deikha Ailam’ planned by Anik Basu.

At the end of the opening part, the music program started. Kaniz Khandaker Mitu sang ‘Bhramar Koiyo Giya’, Devdas Chowdhury Ranjan sang ‘Shit Boi Maral Tan’, Lovely Dev sang ‘Ke Tore Shikhail Radhar’ and ‘Pran Bande Amar Pran Jai’, Abubakar Siddique sang ‘Kare Dekhaab Moner Dukh Go’, Puspita Som sang ‘Nagari Go Mormiya’, Shahnaz Beli sang ‘Emon Maya Kandan R’ and ‘Jugal Milon Hail Go’. Baul Babul Shah first sang ‘Ami Bhule Railam Go’ and ‘Misha Dhandabaji A Sansare’.

Then Krishti Roy performed ‘Ebar Hail Re Bandhu’, Swapna Debnath Shonan ‘Hari Gunagun Krishna Gunagun’ and ‘Jale Giyachilam Sai’. Anupam Das sang ‘Pashaan man re bujhaio’. Anamika Chanda performed ‘Kemon Hai Kamalini’, Bindu Sutradhar Shonan ‘Bolo Go Bolo Go Sakhi’ and ‘Ekti Pan Chailam’. Arpita Dev receives the service ‘Asbe Shyamkalia’. Mitali Roy sang ‘Patit Paban Naam’, Kashem Al Azad sang ‘Sukher Saathi’. Finally, the artists of Saregama Dhamail Academy sang ‘Ami Krishna Kothaye Pai Go’ and ‘Sanket Bashi Bajay Go’.
