Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the epitome of this historic achievement at the juncture of Mujib Year and the golden jubilee of victory. This has been possible under the courageous, wise and far-sighted leadership of the Prime Minister.
He said this while addressing a function organized by the Economic Relations Department of the Ministry of Finance on the occasion of giving thanks and congratulations to the Prime Minister for her visionary leadership and inclusive development on the occasion of ‘Transition to Developing Countries’. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina addressed the function as the chief guest. Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, Education Minister Dr. also spoke on the occasion. Dipu Moni and Fatima Yasmin, Secretary, Department of Economic Relations welcomed the gathering.
The Speaker said that women empowerment, digital Bangladesh and above all the well-planned policies and activities adopted by the Prime Minister in a timely manner have given Bangladesh a different status in the world today. At the same time, he said, the Prime Minister is taking the country forward on the ladder of prosperity by addressing innumerable challenges in building a merit-based knowledge-based society by implementing inclusive development strategies. That is why Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today called him a world-renowned leader.
Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has laid the foundation for building a golden Bengal in just three and a half years. Being the worthy successor of the father, the Prime Minister is working relentlessly to establish the golden Bengal of Bangabandhu’s ideology. He further said that the poverty rate has come down to 21 percent as a result of parliamentary democracy, universal education activities, free book distribution, 100% electrification, establishment of high-tech parks, age allowance, widow allowance, disability allowance and other activities under social security. He sought the cooperation of all in the development work of the government.
