POBNEWS24,Dhaka, Jan 17 , 2022: Awami League nominee Selina Hayat Ivy has won the Narayanganj City Corporation (Nasik) election by a huge margin. This result has been known from various sources. However, the results have not been announced privately yet.
According to the results obtained from the center, boat candidate Ivy was elected in 192 centers with 1 lakh 59 thousand 98 votes. His nearest candidate Taimur Alam Khandaker got 92,582 votes with the elephant symbol.
With this, Ivy has won the Narayanganj City Corporation election for the third time. In the first election held in 2011 after the establishment of the city corporation, the then Awami League rebel candidate Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy was elected with one lakh 70 thousand 46 votes. In the second election held in 2016, Selina Hayat Ivy was re-elected as Awami League candidate with one lakh 65 thousand 611 votes.
Apart from Ivy and Taimur Alam, the other candidates for the post of mayor in this election are: ABM Sirajul Mamun of Bangladesh Khilafah Majlis (wall clock), Mashum Billah (hand fan) of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Rashed Ferdous (hand watch) of Bangladesh Kalyan Party, Md. Of Bangladesh Khilafah Movement. Jasim Uddin (banyan tree) and independent mayoral candidate Kamrul Islam (horse).
