The Prime Minister said this while attending the ‘Mujibvarsh Passing Out Parade’ of 41st batch cadets of Marine Fisheries Academy, Chittagong on Sunday. At the same time, he instructed the new sailors to adhere to the principles and norms of independence. He also urged to work with courage.
Congratulating the cadets of the 41st batch of Marine Fisheries Academy, the Prime Minister said that the institution has expanded with pride. After 75 this institution was not looked after. Was worn out. We have done various developmental works. Women are also being admitted here. The course is aimed at enabling cadets to get jobs on foreign ocean-going ships. The four-year degree is being offered. There are opportunities to get a higher degree.
Regarding ‘Blue Economy’, Sheikh Hasina said, ‘Various steps are being taken to make our country’s economy more dynamic, strong and robust by using Blue Economy. ‘
The Prime Minister said, “We have already successfully implemented the MDGs declared by the United Nations. The SDGOs are being implemented successfully. Although we are lagging behind due to Corona, we are moving forward, becoming economically strong. ‘
He further said, “We are taking steps to achieve the goal of SDG-14 using marine resources. I hope that you (Cadets of Marine Fisheries Academy) will play the most important role in achieving the goals of SDG. ‘
