POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Mar 8, 2022 : Moscow will stop the attack at any moment if Ukraine agrees to Russia’s terms. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. Russian forces also attacked several Ukrainian cities on Monday.
Meanwhile, the representatives of Russia and Ukraine are sitting in the third round of talks.
As a condition for ending the war at any moment, Peskov said, first, Crimea must recognize Ukraine as part of Russia. Second, Luhansk and Donetsk must be recognized as independent states. Third, Ukraine must change its constitution and move away from its intention to join any alliance (such as NATO).
Peskov insisted that if these conditions were met, Russian forces would suspend operations in Ukraine at any moment and would not claim any part of Ukraine in the future.
Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014. The Luhansk and Donetsk regions recognized independence on February 22 after pro-Russian separatists took control. Then, on February 24, Russian forces launched a “special military operation” in Ukraine.
