POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Apr 2, 2022 : The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has taken initiative to sell milk, eggs and meat at affordable prices during the holy month of Ramadan. Fisheries and Livestock Minister Sham Rezaul Karim will inaugurate the program at a function at the premises of the Livestock Department on Krishi Khamar Road in the capital on Sunday morning.
A press release from the ministry said on Saturday.
It said milk, eggs and meat would be sold at affordable prices in the capital from Sunday (April 3) during Ramadan.
This activity will continue till 27th Ramadan.
Initially, the tour will start with Abdul Gani Road, Khamarbari Round Square, Japan Garden City, Mirpur 60 feet road, Azimpur Maternity Hospital, Nayabazar of Old Dhaka, Arambagh, Natun Bazar, Kalshi of Mirpur and Jatrabari.
According to the notification, pasteurized liquid milk will be sold at Rs 80 per liter, beef at Rs 550 per kg, mutton at Rs 600 per kg, dressed broiler at Rs 200 per kg and eggs at Rs 30 per hali.
