POBNEWS24, Dhaka June 5, 2022 : One crore rupees has been allocated as humanitarian assistance for the victims and victims of the fire at Sitakunda in Chittagong. Earlier, an explosion took place at the BM container depot on Saturday night. At least 34 bodies, including three fire service personnel, have been recovered so far. According to police, fire service and local sources, the fire broke out at the container depot located in Kadmarsul area of Sonaichhari around 9 pm. It spread in a short time.
Upon receiving the news, Kumira and Sitakunda Fire Service officials went to the spot and started work to control the fire. The fire came under control around 11 pm. Then suddenly there was a loud explosion in a chemical loaded container. The injured were rescued and taken to different hospitals. So far the fire has been reported to be burning.
