POBNEWS24, Dhaka Aug 6, 2022 : US President Joe Biden claimed that Al Qaeda’s top leader Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed in a drone attack in Kabul, but the Taliban government of Afghanistan said yesterday that they do not have any information about Zawahiri’s death.
No evidence was found in this regard. The Taliban government has also ordered an investigation into Zawahiri’s death.
In this situation, there is no information about the body of Zawahiri, the puzzle is increasing.
America claimed that Zawahiri was in a house in Sherpur near Kabul. Biden claimed that Zawahiri was killed by an American drone attack while standing on the balcony of that house.
A news media reached in front of that house to check the truth of the matter. Today, the concerned media claimed that no sign of explosion was found anywhere in the house even after going around.
After that, the mystery thickens. However, an American media reached the concerned area of Sherpur only after the news of Jawahiri’s death came to light.
A local resident told the media that he heard the explosion on Sunday. A window of the house where Zawahiri was staying was identified as the location where the attack took place.
Already, claims and counter-claims have started at various levels about whether Zawahiri is dead or alive. Questions are also being raised about the American campaign.
When asked about the evidence of Zawahiri’s death, White House spokesman John Kirby said on Tuesday that there was no DNA evidence to support Zawahiri’s death.
The spokesperson claimed that based on the information received through other sources, they have confirmed that Zawahiri is not alive.
In this case, the question arises that if Zawahiri died, where did his body go? Although many say, Al Qaeda or the Taliban may have removed the body. Because Al Qaeda has the same responsibility to prove that America’s campaign has failed.
Similarly, if Zawahiri’s presence is proven, the face of the Taliban will burn in the international arena. They will be accused of harboring extremist leaders. Afghanistan is already in financial crisis. In the meantime, if extremism-linkage with the Taliban government is clear, the Taliban will face more problems in getting international aid.
Besides, in the context of the recovery of the body, it is noteworthy that Zawahiri was killed in a drone attack. In this case, it is very difficult to get the body from there even if the attack is done at a perfect target.
Regarding the matter, Professor Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah of Public Administration Department of Dhaka University of Bangladesh, said that there is no place in the world which is not under the finger of America. America and Israel have the most efficient technology in the world. America thinks Zawahiri is now a threat to them. So they killed him.
