POBNEWS24, Desk report, Sep 15, 2022 : The two-day Seventh Congress of World and Traditional Religious Leaders has begun in Kazakhstan’s capital, Kazakhstan.
One hundred delegates from 50 countries participated in the conference which started on Tuesday (September 14).
The conference will discuss the role of religious leaders in the spiritual development of the society in the post-corona period. President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Jomart Tokayev gave a welcome speech after greeting everyone. Source: Gulf News and Arab News.

He will present the moderate values of Islam to the religious leaders of the world.
In this conference, the head of the Catholic Church and Vatican City, Pope Francis, the head of the Orthodox Church of Jerusalem, Theophilos III, the Minister of Islam and Dawah of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdul Aziz Ale Sheikh and many others. In addition to Islam, Christianity and Judaism, representatives of Shinto, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Hinduism and other religions are present here.
In 2003, the first Congress on Peace and Solidarity and Prevention of Terrorism and Extremism was held at the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan, Nur Sultan Nazarbayev. In its first year, 17 delegates from 23 countries participated. Since then it has been held every three years in the country’s capital, Nur-Sultan (formerly Astana).
