POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Nov 10, 2022 : Shakib Al Hasan was the goodwill ambassador of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). ACC Commissioner (Investigation) Mozammel Haque Khan recently told reporters, “According to the contract, cricketer Shakib Al Hasan is still the ACC’s goodwill ambassador, but he will not be retained anymore.” The contract will also not be renewed.
Mozammel Haque Khan said that as the reason for not keeping Shakib as a goodwill ambassador, Shakib is now controversial in various activities outside the field.
ACC never wants to associate itself with any controversial person. So ACC will no longer use Shakib as a goodwill ambassador.
However, BSEC still keeps Shakib Al Hasan as a goodwill ambassador despite repeated complaints and investigations.
