POBNEWS24,Dhaka, July 8, 2023 : Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen said, many pundits (Talker of the Tv talk Show) have commented that Bangladesh seems to have fallen into the clutches of China in the wake of the incident in Sri Lanka. Because Bangladesh has taken a lot of loans from China. But Bangladesh did not borrow so much from China. Instead, he took a loan from an international organization. Some may have thought that Bangladesh has a relationship with China. Bangladesh is rushing towards China. To be clear, Bangladesh is not China’s tail. We don’t want to bully anyone.
He said these things at the DCAB Talk organized at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Saturday (July 8).
The foreign minister said that due to geopolitics, many eyes are on Bangladesh. We didn’t give it to anyone. Many will become unannounced stations here. I haven’t given it yet. Please pray that I can overcome them.
Regarding India, the foreign minister said, India is our number one friend in foreign policy. Because of the depth of this relationship, they are improving and so are we. As a result of the development, several lakhs of Bengalis went to visit. Some of their people are coming to work here.
He also said that we have good relations with other countries. US President Biden wants good relations with us. That is why they are sending people to Bangladesh one after another. China is also our development partner. Our relations with all countries have improved. Business and trade increased as relations improved.
Regarding the national parliament elections, the foreign minister said, we also want participatory elections. The government also wants free and fair elections. Twenty and a half years of democracy in America. Still there are weaknesses. That’s what the people there say. Still they are coming to Bangladesh. come on They will see that the world model is being selected in Bangladesh. We don’t want to choose the Myanmar brand, whoever wants to come, come. We have nothing to hide. Some of them may want to disrupt the election. Doing so will bring misfortune to the country. Fear that no one can sabotage the election process. There is no pressure to vote. We do not want to go to Mr. Zia’s yes or no vote. We will vote transparently and beautifully on our own initiative. Many people are talking big about the election. They say, don’t let the election.

Regarding Russia’s speech about Bangladesh, the foreign minister said, it is their speech. We don’t know anything. The letter from the European Union is full of mistakes. But we have no objection to what he said. He spoke of dialogue. We have no objection to that. But we don’t want to talk to any terrorist group.
Regarding the US visa policy, the foreign minister said, we are not worried about the US visa policy. Voters don’t care much about US visa policies. Some government employees and businessmen have a headache about this.
