POBNEWS24, Dhaka, June 13, 2022: A Bangladeshi pilgrim who went to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj has died. (Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun). The name of the deceased pilgrim is Jahangir Kabir. The cause of death was not immediately known.
This is the first death among Bangladeshi pilgrims in this year’s Hajj. He is said to have died last Saturday (June 11).
This information was revealed in the Hajj Bulletin of the Ministry of Religion on Sunday (June 12) .
It is learned that Jahangir Kabir, 59, is a resident of Sadar in Chapainawabganj district. His passport number is ‘A 01012228’. The name of his guide and Monajjem. Rafiqul Islam.
This year’s Hajj will be held on July 7, subject to the sighting of the moon. This year, a total of 56,575 people from Bangladesh are getting the opportunity to perform the holy Hajj. Of these, 4,584 pilgrims will go under government management and 53,575 under private management. The flight of Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia has started from last 5th June. The last flight to Saudi Arabia is on July 3. The return flight will start on July 14 after the Hajj. The return flight will end on August 4.
This time Hajj activities are being conducted through 359 Hajj agencies approved by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
