POBNEWS24,Dhaka Aug 27, 2022 : The Meteorological Department has predicted rains across the country. During this time the temperature may decrease by 1 to 2 degrees. Other regions of the country were rainless except for two divisions on Friday. The maximum temperature was 36 degrees Celsius.
From Friday (August 26) 6 am to Saturday (August 27) 6 am in the last 24 hours, except for a few places in Sylhet and Chittagong, six other divisions were rainless. Sylhet has received the highest rainfall of 18 mm during this period. On Friday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded in Tarash and Syedpur. Two places recorded a temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Office, Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh. In the next 24 hours from 9 am on Saturday, many places of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and some places of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions may experience light to moderate rain with gusty winds or thundershowers along with moderate to heavy showers at some parts of the country. It may rain.
During this time, the day temperature may drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius across the country and the night temperature may continue. It has also been informed that the trend of rainfall may continue for the next three days.
The weather forecast for inland river ports for the last 24 hours till 6:00 PM today, Saturday, has said that over Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Pabna, Faridpur, Dhaka, Tangail, Mymensingh and Sylhet regions from South or South-East. Rain or thundershowers with gusty winds of 45 to 60 km per hour are possible. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
