POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Aug 3 2022 : 40 officers of Bangladesh Police have been assigned as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of 40 districts of the country. The responsibility was given in a notification issued by the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday (August 3). Deputy Secretary Dhananjaya Kumar Das signed the notification by order of the President.
Those concerned say that for the first time in the history of Bangladesh Police, new SPs of 40 districts have been appointed together.
Among the officers who have been posted, Superintendent of Police Akbar Ali Munsi of Netrakona has been transferred to Pabna, Superintendent of Police SM Shafiullah of Gazipur to Chittagong, Superintendent of Police Golam Mostafa Russell of Madaripur to Narayanganj, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun of Feni to Sylhet, Superintendent of Police Machum Ahmad Bhuyan of Jaipurhat to Mymensingh, DC Saiful Haque to Shariatpur. SP done.
Apart from this, the DC of Khulna Metropolitan Police Mohammad Ehsan Shah, Commandant of Sunamganj, Lalmonirhat. Mahfuzzaman Ashraf to Laxmipur, DMP DC Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman to Jhenaidah, Police Headquarters AIG Sadira Khatun to Narail, Gazipur Metropolitan Police DC Abdullah Al Mamun to Chuadanga, Police Headquarters AIG Md. Arifur Rahman Mandal has been made SP of Sirajganj, SB Moniruzzaman of Satkhira, DC of DMP Shah Iftekhar Ahmed has been made SP of Dinajpur.
Police Headquarters AIG Mir Abu Tauhid Rangamati, Police Telecom Mohammad Saiful Islam Lalmonirhat, SBI Muhammad Rashidul Haque Naogaon, DMP DC Md. Mahfuzul Islam to Cox’s Bazar, SB. Faiz Ahmed has been made Netrakona, DMP DC Wahidul Islam Barisal Superintendent of Police.
