POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Sept 10, 2023 : By supporting Lionel Messi’s Argentina national football team in the World Cup, Bangladeshis have won the hearts of the Argentine people, said the country’s president, Alberto Fernandez. He said this in a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in New Delhi on Saturday.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting was held on the sidelines of the G20 conference. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina thanked Argentina for opening its embassy in Dhaka.
The Prime Minister expressed interest in strengthening cooperation with Argentina in sectors such as sports, agriculture, processing of agricultural products.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also held a meeting with South Korean President Eun Suk Yeol and United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in New Delhi yesterday. In the meeting, they agreed to strengthen cooperation through increasing industry, trade and commerce and people-to-people contacts.
On the other hand, the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the significant progress in the socio-economic sector of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
