POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Dec 2, 2022 : The 12th ‘Prajapati Mela-2022’ is going to be held at Jahangirnagar University (JABI) today with the slogan ‘Butterflies fly in the sky, nature gets new speed’. This event is aimed at increasing public awareness by highlighting the role of butterflies in conservation of butterflies and protecting the balance of the environment.The day-long fair will be organized by the entomology wing of the zoology department of the university. Professor Monowar Hossain of Zoology Department of the University, convener of the fair, has given this information.
Like every year, this fair also has a procession and butterfly story puppet show, butterfly painting for children and teenagers, quiz competition, butterfly photography exhibition and competition, live butterfly exhibition, butterfly recognition competition, butterfly kite flying competition, barwari debate competition, butterfly documentary exhibition. And finally the prize distribution and closing ceremony.
Contestants have to register their names by 9:30 am on the day of the fair to participate in the competition.
