POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Apr 14, 2022 : Chayanat’s New Year celebrations have started at 6:15 am at the base of Ramna by performing raga with the help of voice and instruments. After this, Rabindra Sangeet ‘Mon, Jag’ Mangalloke Amal Amritmay Nab Aloke has been performed in unison. After Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Sangeet ‘Arun-Kanti Ke Go Yogi Bhikhari’ was performed in a single voice.
After being closed for two years due to the epidemic through the performance of Rabindra and Nazrul Sangeet, the solemn celebration of Pohela Boishakh started today.
The venue has become full of spectators. The venue is surrounded by a number of law enforcement agencies.
In 1986, for the first time, the cultural organization Chayanat organized a New Year celebration at Ramna Batamul. After that it became a universal festival of citizen Bengalis.
The number of artists who took part in this year’s performance is 70, said Laisa Ahmed Lisa, general secretary of Chayanat. This number of artists was about 115 before.
This time, the New Year celebrations of Chayanat have been arranged with 36 arrangements. Among these are the songs of Panchakabir, the songs of the Bratacharis ‘My life became mad in love with Bengali land’, the folk song ‘Nao Chaira de Majhi, Pal Uraiya de’ etc. There are also things like recitation lessons.
