POBNEWS24, Dhaka July 4, 2024 : The court has ordered the seizure of a 9-storey house of Commissioner of Customs Valuation and Internal Audit Department Mohammad Enamul Haque in Bashundhara, two flats and three commercial spaces in the capital.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Mohammad Assamach Jaglul Hossain gave this order on hearing the application of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). ACC public prosecutor Mir Ahmed Ali Salam confirmed this information.
According to sources related to the ACC and the court, the ACC filed a case against Customs Commissioner Mohammad Enamul Haque on July 31 last year on the allegation of illegal acquisition of Tk 9 crore 76 lakh. Today, a request was made to seize Mohammad Enamul Haque’s 9-storey house in G-Block Bashundhara, Dhaka, two flats in Banani and Kakrail, three commercial spaces in Dhaka including Mohammadpur and a car parking space in Gulshan. After hearing, the court granted the application.
Apart from this, the court has ordered the seizure of Enamul Haque’s land in Gazipur and Badda.
