POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Aug 9, 2022: Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Joint General Secretary of Awami League. Hasan Mahmud termed the new seven-party alliance ‘Ganatantra Manch’ as unimportant and said that individuals who are not related to the people and abandoned in politics have formed a new alliance called ‘Ganatantra Manch’ to increase their importance. This alliance has no importance in politics or polls.

He said these things during an exchange with journalists at his Minto Road residence today, Tuesday (August 9).

The information minister said, “I saw that a seven-party alliance called Democracy Manch was formed yesterday.

Those who formed this coalition are all political outcasts and are politically insignificant. All of them have come to this state by drinking water from various ghats in different groups and they have no relation with the people.

It is an unimportant alliance and they have no importance in any field, whether it is vote politics or the overall politics of the country, the minister said, ‘Since they themselves are unimportant, they are only trying to increase their importance by forming an alliance, nothing else. ‘

Earlier in the morning, Awami League’s Joint General Secretary Dr. Taslima Begum Renu met with the family of the victim of brutal murder over Padma Bridge in Mohakhali and gave them cash assistance. Hasan Mahmud.

At that time, he said, ‘When the work of Padma Bridge started in full swing in 2019, then BNP-Jamaat spread rumors all over the country that Padma Bridge will require human blood and sacrifices. Taslima Begum Renu went to enroll the children in school at that time. He was brutally murdered following rumors created by BNP-Jamaat. This incident cannot be accepted in any way. Not only Taslima Begum but many others had to die helplessly due to BNP-Jamaat rumours. ‘

Noting that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed to stand by the victims of such incidents, the minister also assured the party’s support regarding the trial of Renu Begum’s murder.

Awami League Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Mohakhali Thana Awami League President. Local leaders including Jasim Uddin were present.
