POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Jan 14, 2022 : Bangladesh Kalyan Party and Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) do not want to form election commission through search committee. The two parties want legislation to form the Election Commission (EC) as per the constitution. On the other hand, Zak’s party has no objection to the search committee. The party has proposed to use voting technology to arrange voting at home.
With the formation of the EC on Thursday evening and night Bangabhaban President. Three parties have taken part in the dialogue with Abdul Hamid separately. First Zak’s party took part in the dialogue with the President, then Bangladesh Kalyan Party and BJP took part in phases.

A six-member delegation led by Zak’s party chairman Mostafa Amir Faisal made four-point proposals in a dialogue with the president. These include arranging for e-voting at home to keep the election free from controversy, drafting a law on the formation of the EC, first sending it to registered political parties for comments, forming a search committee with representatives of registered political parties.

Shamim Haider, acting secretary general of Zak’s party, told Prothom Alo that a fair vote was possible if the four proposals were accepted.

The party’s six-member delegation was led by its secretary general Abdul Awal. In a dialogue with the President, the party said that an independent election commission could not be formed through a search committee earlier. There is still ample time and opportunity to legislate in the formation of the EC. The party wants the next election to be held under a neutral government. The Kalyan Party presented the proposal of an election-neutral government to the President at a gathering of professionals from all walks of life, including representatives of all registered parties and representatives of the military. They said the name of this government could be referred to as ‘Emergency Government’, ‘Emergency Government’ and even ‘Government of National Defense’.
