Eid-ul-Azha is associated with the culmination of extreme sacrifice and love of God. He said the whole world, including Bangladesh, has celebrated Eid-ul-Azha in the last two years amid the horrors of the Corona epidemic. Although coronavirus infections are under control now, there is a need to take appropriate precautions to prevent future infections. In this context, low-income people around the world are living in the midst of various limitations. He called upon the wealthy and affluent people of the country to come forward so that they too would not be deprived of the joy of Eid and could join the festival.
“Peace and harmony will be established in the society only if the teachings of renunciation are reflected in our personal lives,” he said, adding that in order to accept sacrifices from God Almighty, one must have pure intentions and legitimate earnings.
Expressing hope that the government would make efforts to stop environmental pollution by making sacrifices at the designated places and removing the waste of the victims, the President said the holy Eid-ul-Azha should bring welfare to all and awaken the ideal of sacrifice.
