POBNEWS24, In’t Desk, Aug 26, 2021 : Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on Muslims around the world to take a stand against injustice.
Erdogan made the call in a video message at the fourth general meeting of the Islamic Corporation Youth Forum in Istanbul on Wednesday.
Erdogan called on Muslims to protest if they see any injustice done to Muslims, saying Muslims around the world, from Syria and Afghanistan, face conflict, migration, poverty and disease today. Muslims must take responsibility for their own peace and welfare. We must stand up against injustice for the sake of global security and the future of mankind.
The Turkish president said the world was going through one of the most turbulent times in human history. Security problems, terrorist activities and coronavirus have robbed people of happiness.
Noting that Islamophobia and cultural racism are on the rise around the world, especially in Western societies, Erdogan said that Turkey, whenever given the opportunity, highlights the injustices that have taken place around the world. He called upon the youth to play an active role in politics, education, sports, business and social life.
Addressing the youth, Erdogan said, “I expect from you that no one can divide us on the basis of race, religion or culture.” He called for the reform of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, saying “the world is bigger than five countries”.
