POBNEWS24, Dhaka, May 21,2023 : Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said, you know that since the 80s, proletariats and extremists have built strongholds in some districts of this area due to poor communication. Later in 1999, the proletarian extremists returned to the path of light with the slogan of “Leave the life of terror, build an enlightened life” by holding the hand of the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The Home Minister said, as the Prime Minister had rehabilitated everyone then, he also told me before coming today that those of you who are surrendering today and returning to the path of light will be given full and maximum support, starting from financial support.
He said these things during the chief guest’s speech at the surrender ceremony with arms of 315 members of East Bengal Communist Party (ML), Lal Pata and Proletariat, including several extremist parties, including the Lal Pata and Proletariat, to Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at Sirajganj RAB-12 headquarters on Sunday (May 21).
He warned the criminals, ‘If anyone thinks we will sit in remote areas, commit crimes and you will not catch them, then they are living in a fool’s paradise.’
The Home Minister said, ‘Various steps are being taken to bring back the strays. From financial assistance to employment opportunities are being provided. Hon’ble Prime Minister declared Sundarbans bandit free.
He said, ‘RAB is doing many good things and has gained trust. That is why the extremists contacted RAB for surrender. Apart from maintaining law and order, RAB is working to eradicate drugs and terrorism. Besides, various humanitarian activities are also being conducted.
This is an initiative of RAB to bring the extremist leaders and members of various areas of Sirajganj, Pabna, Bogra, Meherpur, Kushtia, Rajbari and Tangail back from darkness to light.
