POBNEWS24, Dhaka Aug 9, 2023 : Foreigners do not want the welfare of the people of Bangladesh. Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen commented that they want unrest here.

He said these things in a civil dialogue titled ‘The speed and nature of recent development in Bangladesh’ organized by Bangladesh Study Trust at Tafazzal Hossain Manik Mia Hall of National Press Club on Wednesday (August 9).

Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen said, foreigners do not want your well-being. They want chaos here. If the country is weak, they have many advantages. So they want to weaken. Do not ignore them in this Velki. The development of the country will be done by the people of the country, the government of the country will do it. We believe in Awami League people. Our position will be strong only in the opinion of the people. What another foreigner said is of little importance. There is a government, the government will see to it.

He said that elections were held in 60 countries in the last 6 months. Another 22 countries have elections before the next national elections. But unfortunately UN State Department, UN USA Department, UNA they have to talk about Bangladesh election every day. But since I mentioned hundreds of elections, there is no mention of them. The main topic of discussion in these countries is the economy. You talk about these things.

The foreign minister also said that Bangladesh should focus on how to maintain the pace of development. Elections are held in many parts of the world, but there are no such talks. A discussion of our economic and social conditions from 2001 to 2006 will show what the situation was. You will understand who is suitable for Bangladesh. If we look at the social and economic condition of the nation, it will be clear who we will elect in the future.

Commenting that political stability keeps the path of development, he said that countries which are developed have political stability. Countries where there is no political stability are fighting like Iraq, Libya. We want peace and order in the country. Want to leave a developed country for future generations.

He said that from 2001 to 2006 there was no security for men and women in the country. When the car of the ambassador of another country was attacked in the country. Militant activities increased in the country.

Professor Dr. Uttam Kumar Barua presided.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman Litu moderated the program.

Jagannath University Bangla Department Chairman Professor Dr. spoke. Milton Biswas, Bahadur Bepari, Dr. Khan Asaduzzaman, Assistant Professor of Dhaka University. Md. Farooq Shah, THM Jahangir etc.
