Preparations for Eid Jamaat have already been completed in all parts of the country, including the capital. Separate prayers have also been arranged for women at the National Eidgah. About 35,000 people will be able to perform Eid prayers there. However, if this congregation is not possible due to inclement weather or any other unavoidable reason, the main congregation of Eid will be held at 9 am at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. Eid Jamaat will also be held at the historic Sholakia Maidan in Kishoreganj, which has a hundred-year tradition.

Arrangements have been made for the underprivileged children to enter and display the museum, Ahsan Manzil, Lalbagh Fort etc. without tickets. Besides, children’s Eid reunion program has been organized at Bangladesh Shishu Academy. Meanwhile, five Eid congregations will be held at the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram like every year. According to a press release issued by the Islamic Foundation, the first Jamaat will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 8 am, followed by Eid Jamaat at 8 am, 9 am, 10 am and 11:15 pm.

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, national flags are being hoisted at government, semi-government buildings, autonomous institutions, private buildings and all installations of the armed forces and banners emblazoned with the national flag and ‘Eid Mubarak’ are being displayed at important traffic islands and light posts in the metropolis.
