POBNEWS24, Dhaka Aug 31, 2025 : The Bangladesh government is going to lay a foundation for establishing a high-quality nursing faculty. As part of this, a PhD program for nurses will be launched. South Korea has provided a grant for the implementation of this work.
An agreement in this regard was signed between the Bangladesh government and the Korea International Corporation Agency, a development cooperation agency of the South Korean government, on Sunday (August 31).
A grant agreement was signed under the Education and Research Capacity Building of National Advanced Nursing Education and Research in Bangladesh project at the Economic Relations Department in Agargaon.
The project will be implemented through the Department of Nursing and Midwifery under the Department of Health, Education and Family Welfare. The Korean government’s development cooperation agency will provide a grant of US $ 5.9 million for the implementation of the project.
Mirana Mahrukh, Additional Secretary of ERD, on behalf of the Bangladesh government, and Jihon Kim, Country Director of KOICA on behalf of the South Korean government, jointly signed the project agreement.
