POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Jan 7, 2024 : Today 7th January 2024, the 12th National Parliament election was held in Bangladesh. Around 11:00 a.m., a supporter of Mrinalkanti Das, a member of the Awami League boat, was beaten to death in Munshiganj, near Dhaka. The name of the deceased is Zillur Rahman (45).

There is extreme fear among the minority voters of that area. News is coming, Golam Dastgir Gazi Bir Prateek, the candidate of Narayanganj-1 (Rupganj) Constituency Boat Prateek has complained that Hindu voters are being prevented from going to the polling station.

Golam Dastgir Gazi said, Shafiq, the brother of mayor Rafiq in Kanchan, top terrorist Musharraf in Naora, Nabi, Manik and Jabbar, members of Ward No. 1, 2 and 3 of Murapara Union Parishad, Liton chief Kettle are trying to create anarchy on behalf of Pratik’s candidate. They are detaining Hindu voters and not allowing them to go to polling stations. They are detained thinking that they will vote for the boat.

On the other hand, the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal did not see any agent except the boat polling agent at the polling station. He said, ‘All the ones I got are from the same party. In favor of the boat or Ye.. pollingagent. I did not see any people except the remaining candidates.

Today, Sunday, the 12th national parliament elections, he returned to the polling station and told reporters this.

According to EC, 516 thousand Ansar, 182 thousand 91 police, 46 thousand 876 BGB, 2 thousand 350 Coast Guard and more than 700 RAB will be on patrol around the country. The armed forces will be with them in the polling field. Apart from this, members of the Armed Police Battalion will also be in the field. Each center will have 15 to 17 security personnel.

The total number of voters in this election is 11 crore 97 lakh. Among them, 6 crore 7 lakh 71 thousand 579 are male, 5 crore 89 lakh 19 thousand 202 are female and the number of third gender voters is 852. Total polling stations are 42 thousand 103. 2 lakh 61 thousand 912 polling booths. Voting is done on ballot paper.
