POBNEWS24, Dhaka Aug 25, 2022 : All Government, Semi-Government and Autonomous Institutions have implemented electricity saving activities from 8 am to 3 pm. Many officers and employees had to suffer because of the bus crisis, traffic jam and children on the first day yesterday, Wednesday. Due to traffic jam, many could not attend the secretariat on time. Again, due to the same fear, many officers and employees left the office half an hour before the end of the office.

However, officials of several ministries, including the Ministry of Labor and Employment and the Security Services Division of the Home Ministry, finished their work after 5 pm. From yesterday morning to 3 pm, various ministries and departments of the secretariat were visited, the ministers of some ministries did not come to the office in the new schedule. Secretaries did not come to some ministries. In several ministries, ministers and secretaries were seen coming to office on time. Most of the officials come to the office on the new schedule but face the problem of getting their children to school. Several officials were seen coming to the office with children. Due to bus shortage and traffic jam, most of the employees living in Mirpur area could not reach office at 8 am. This is how the officers and employees spent the first day yesterday in the new schedule. Government office activities will continue as per this rule until further instructions are issued.
There is no risk of service disruption in the new schedule

The new office schedule will remain in effect until further notice. Public Administration State Minister Farhad Hossain said that there is no danger of service disruption. He said, ‘It was said that there is school in the morning, in that case the new schedule of the office will conflict or not? In this case we thought, first we see if it conflicts or not. Because our private office hours are already from 9 o’clock. Financial institutions also start their operations at 9 am. But the situation we observed today (yesterday) is tolerable. Government decision is correct. The state minister said these things at the BSRF group insurance contract ceremony at the media center at the secretariat yesterday.

Many people could not keep up with the time on the first day of office in the new schedule. Yesterday, there was a shortage of buses on the roads in different areas of the capital. Almost every bus was loaded with passengers. After waiting for 20 to 25 minutes, many did not see the bus. A tangle of people waiting for the bus was seen at the intersection of the road.

It was 7 am. Huge pressure of passengers at Azimpur bus stand. Most of the buses plying towards Azimpur start from here. As a result passengers did not have much problem in getting the bus.
