POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Aug 9, 2021: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the ruling government has partisanised the nationwide Ganatika (vaccine) program.

He said the BNP standing committee thinks that the government has started mass deception in the name of mass vaccination without collecting enough vaccines. Due to extreme mismanagement and factionalism, the mass vaccination campaign shown by these people has turned into a mass mobilization campaign. Illegal government of Bangladesh has grouped the vaccine program Fakhrul added.

The BNP secretary general said this at a press conference held at the chairperson’s office in Gulshan to announce the decision of the party’s national standing committee meeting on today. At the time, he demanded a universal vaccine.

Mirza Fakhrul said the standing committee has called on the government to come out of the process of partisanship and take effective measures to provide public money. We strongly condemn and protest against the involvement of party workers in turning the mass vote program into a full-fledged party program.

Mirza Fakhrul said that on August 8, the government has started a public joke in the name of mass vaccination. They (the government) have received 1 crore 80 lakh vaccines. But if 80 percent of the people are to be vaccinated, 26 crore vaccines will be needed.

Highlighting the different decisions of government ministers and responsible persons on Corona vaccine at different times and the contradictory statements made by the Liberation War Minister and the Health Minister and their subsequent withdrawal, Mirza Fakhrul said the government’s lack of coordination and irresponsibility has become clear to the people.

Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, a member of the party’s standing committee at the conference, the BNP chairperson’s advisor Prof. Farhad Halim Donor, Organizing Secretary Syed Emran Saleh Prince, Health Secretary. Rafiqul Islam, DAB President Prof Harun Al Rashid, Secretary General Prof Abdus Salam, Central Leader MA Selim, Zahirul Islam Shakil, Mehedi Hasan, Fakhruzzaman, SA Siddique (Shaju) and others were present.
