POBNEWS24, Dhaka Nov 25, 2021 : Gazipur City Corporation Mayor Jahangir has been suspended. In a press release issued on Thursday at 4 pm, the Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Md. Tajul Islam.
He said many in the ministry had lodged several complaints against Mayor Jahangir. The ministry has ordered an inquiry into them. According to the rules, if the allegation against a mayor is taken into account, there is a provision to take a decision to suspend him. We have suspended him.
