POBNEWS24,Dhaka Aug 26, 2022 : Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the role of labor force is going to be very important for the overall development of the country. Modi said these things while attending a conference organized with labor ministers of all states and Union Territories through video conference on Thursday.
Narendra Modi said that the workplace is constantly changing. The labor policy should be changed accordingly.
Women should be given more opportunities.
He also said that in the last eight years, his government has taken the initiative to remove several labor laws dating back to the period of slavery.
Modi said 29 labor laws have been replaced by four simple labor policies. He also claimed that the central government is trying to bring the workers under various social-security schemes like Pradhan Mantri Shram-Yogi Mandhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana.
He also said that the rules and regulations should be relaxed in the future regarding working time and where to sit and work. The environment of working from home is also important for the future. If there are no restrictive rules about the workplace, more women will have the opportunity to work.
