POBNEWS24,Dhaka, Sep 3, 2022 : The FBI has recovered more than 11,000 government documents and photos from the home of former US President Donald Trump. Besides, 48 blank files marked as ‘confidential’ were also recovered. This information was found in the documents released by the court on Friday.
U.S. District Judge Eileen Cannon in West Palm Beach released the documents found in the search.
On August 8, the FBI conducted a search operation at Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida of the former president of the United States.
Of the more than 11,000 documents and photos recovered from Trump’s home, 18 have been marked as ‘top secret’. 54 are kept as ‘confidential’. Another 31 documents have been marked as ‘confidential’.
Apart from this 90 blank files were recovered. Of which 48 were marked as ‘confidential’. It is still unclear why the files were blank and whether any documents were lost.
The Justice Department previously said in court documents that there was evidence that classified documents were intentionally withheld when the FBI tried to retrieve them from Trump’s home in June.
The recovered document was filed on August 30. It said that the investigating officers have completed the preliminary review of the seized items. Further investigation will continue and more witnesses will be interviewed.
