POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Sep 4, 2022 : Bangladesh’s ‘Mr Dependable’ Mushfiqur Rahim announced his retirement from T20 after failing in the Asia Cup. Mushfiq himself confirmed his retirement through social media on Sunday.
On his verified Facebook page, Mushi wrote, ‘Salaam and greetings to all. I have had you all by my side in the journey of a long cricket career.
Your unwavering support in good times and bad is my motivation. Today I am retiring from T20 international cricket career. But I will continue to play Tests and ODIs for Bangladesh. I hope I can bring something more for the country in these two formats. ‘
Mushfiq also said that he will play domestic T20 even if he does not play international T20, ‘I will continue my game in other franchise leagues including Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) in T20 format. Alhamdulillah. Thanks to all. thank you Allah is Hafez. ‘
