POBNEWS24,Dhaka Dec 30, 2021: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called upon every citizen of the country to get vaccinated with Covid-19 vaccine to prevent the spread of Corona virus. He also directed the concerned authorities to make the vaccination campaign available at the grassroots level through community clinics.
“We need to make sure that no one is infected again and that no one is left out of vaccination coverage,” she said. Everyone should be vaccinated with Covid-19. ‘
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina made the remarks while addressing a function as the chief guest here this morning.
He also attended the main event organized by the Ministry of Education at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital via video conference from Ganobhaban.
Referring to the immunization activities of her government, the Prime Minister said, “I gave it to the teachers first, now I am giving it to the students and arrangements have been made to vaccinate all of them up to the age of 12 years.”
“Through this program today, I would like to urge you to take this immunization program to the grassroots level,” he said. It will be given through community clinics or through other health centers. But those who have not been vaccinated have yet to be vaccinated. The Prime Minister directed the concerned ministry to take steps to ensure that not only the guardians of the family but also the students get vaccinated.
On the same occasion, the Prime Minister inaugurated the distribution of free textbooks for the 2022 academic year among the primary and secondary level students of the country. Although there is no textbook festival in the country on January 1 due to Corona, the distribution of books will start from that day in all the educational institutions of the country in accordance with the hygiene rules and to avoid crowds, one class of books will be distributed on each day. This time 34 crore 60 lakh 22 thousand 130 copies of books will be provided free of cost among 4 crore 16 lakh 26 thousand 758 students.
