POBNEWS24, Dhaka, Aug 10, 2022: On the martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day, the national flag will be flown at half-mast in all government, semi-government, autonomous institutions, educational institutions, private buildings and Bangladesh missions located abroad. This instruction was given in a government information statement on Wednesday (August 10).
According to the National Flag Rules, the color of the flag will be dark green and a rectangular field of 10:6 length and width will have a red circle in the middle of the dark green color. The radius of the circle shall be one-fifth of the length of the flag.
Three sizes of flags for hoisting on buildings are ten feet by six feet, five feet by three feet and two and a half feet by one and a half feet.
It is also said that the national flag should be hoisted to the highest peak of the flag pole at the time of sunrise. After that, it should be lowered and tied in a semi-bent state. When lowering the flag at the end of the day, it should be raised again to the highest point of the pole, then lowered slowly.
