POBNEWS24, Dhaka Dec 15, 2024 : The relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh have become stronger in the context of the political changes that have taken place in Bangladesh under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina in the last few years. The importance of mutual relations between the two countries has increased, especially after the fall of the Hasina government after the large-scale protests by the students and the public in Bangladesh, said former Dean of Dhaka University Dr. Shaheduzzaman and various international scholars participating in an online conference in Pakistan on 15 December (Sunday). The participants of the conference emphasized the need for Pakistan and Bangladesh to move forward together for the common goal of peace, prosperity and development.
Prominent Pakistani academicians, youth leaders, social media activists and successful entrepreneurs spoke as keynote speakers at the conference. They urged the people of both countries to be wary of fake news and highlighted the need to stand by their armed forces. The speakers said that the youth of Bangladesh sacrificed more than two thousand lives in 1971, as a result of which the country gained its second independence, which should be respected even today.
The participants of the conference simultaneously pledged to work together between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Especially to stand by each other for peace, prosperity and development. They said that through the same goal and struggle, we can ensure a better, safer and peaceful future for our people.
This is the first time since the 1971 Liberation War that such a large number of representatives from Bangladesh attended a Pakistani event.
The international conference held at the ‘Pakistan National Council of Arts’ auditorium in the Pakistani capital Islamabad has called for improving relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh and a joint fight against Indian Hindutva and hegemony.
At the conference, prominent academicians, political leaders and social activists of Bangladesh expressed solidarity with Pakistan and called for a joint fight against Indian Hindutva.
