Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bangladesh in the midst of the Corona epidemic to attend the event. Besides, both the countries have decided to celebrate ‘Friendship Day’ on December 6. On December 6, 1971, India recognized the independence of Bangladesh.
During the visit, tensions between the two countries over the distribution of Teesta water could be discussed, the report said. Besides, the two leaders will hold talks on other bilateral issues.
Currently, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are both in the United States to attend the UN General Assembly. During the session, they commemorated the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations between the two countries.
